N2M2L @ Northern Lights Festival Boréal

10 songwriters. 5 demos. 3 days… 1 festival

This past weekend, the Near North Mobile Media Lab had the opportunity to partner on an exciting project at Sudbury’s Northern Lights Festival Boréal – a Northern Ontario Singer-songwriter Challenge. The event saw 10 emerging musicians from around the region get partnered up to write, arrange and record a new composition in only 3 days. On top of this challenge, participants got to consult with industry mentors including Fred Squire, Serge Brideau (Les Hôtesses d’Hilaire), and ShoShona Kish (Digging Roots). A huge success, we are excited to reveal the songs to you shortly! In the meantime, check out some photos from the weekend!
