Lez Go Fishing:
A 2SLGBTQI+ Ice Fishing Event
The 2SLGBTQI+ Ice Fishing event is a 2 hour workshop co-presented by the Near North Mobile Media Lab, Canadore College, OUTLOUD North Bay, and North Bay Pride on Lake Nipissing in North Bay, Ontario. The workshop will be offered in both English and French by seasoned fisherwomen known as ‘Lez Go Fishing’. The 2SLGBTQI+ Ice Fishing event will take place on Monday, February 20th on a registration basis. Participants are welcome to get hands-on, or simply attend and observe. The 2SLGBTQI+ Ice Fishing event is presented and facilitated by queer staff of queer lead organizations and will therefore be a queer event. Registration priority will be given to queer, trans, and two-spirit self-identifying participants, however, all are welcome to attend regardless of sex, sexuality, gender identity, or gender expression with the understanding of collectively upholding a communal gathering that celebrates queer, trans, and two-spirit identities. Participants are reminded to dress warmly with appropriate footwear, gloves, and hat.
