Digital Creator North Network Facilitator

Organizational Description
The Near North Mobile Media Lab (N2M2L) is a non-profit artist-run centre that actively promotes media arts access by providing the tools and resources that media artists, emerging artists, and students in Northern Ontario need to produce, present, and enjoy all forms of contemporary media art.
Duties include overseeing and preparing equipment rental bookings, fielding rental inquiries, providing technical support, performing equipment maintenance, and minor administrative tasks related to rentals, as well as developing and facilitating workshops using our equipment inventory, and overseeing the editing suite.
Responsibilities
- Provide equipment and software workshops and training (hybrid format — in-person and
- online) for members of the Digital Creator North Network;
- Monitor and identify trends in digital and media literacy, skills and needs in the Digital
- Creator North Network;
- Participate in, and learn from, the Digital Creator North Network team meetings and program visioning;
- Communicate with members of the Digital Creator North Network to relay updates,training opportunities, and media support opportunities provided by the Digital Creator North Network;
- Identify Digital Creator North Network’s community needs and share them with executive staff;
- Assist in the ongoing maintenance of the digital and media components of the Digital Creator North Network;
- Measure and record the success of the Digital Creator North Network;
- Assist in the maintenance of the Digital Creator North Network website.
Qualifications
- Organized, detail oriented and ability to work independently and collaboratively;
- Strong interpersonal communication skills; takes initiative and direction well;
- Familiar with video, audio and photography production equipment;
- Familiar with basic digital video editing software;
- Website updating and management skills is considered an asset;
- On set technical experience is considered an asset;
- Experience running workshops or teaching in any capacity is considered a strong asset.
