Adrienne Matheuszik (@hey_adrienne) Adrienne Matheuszik is a multidisciplinary artist from Oakville, Ontario, currently based in based in Toronto, Ontario. Through her creative process, Adrienne is currently exploring ideas of representation, identity and subjectivity through working with digital mediums such as augmented reality, video, sculpture and interactive installation
Adrienne is interested in investigating the concepts that are often taken for granted. She tries to make art that questions these conventions and takes new perspectives on cultural customs and expectations. In her work she try to assess the value of sentimentality when thinking about the future and how society progresses. She tries to elicit the idea that there is a meaning to her work while leaving room for the viewer to decipher the meaning that is most relevant to them personally. She uses sound and colour as ways to elicit an experience where viewers can re-evaluate conventions in art, culture and society that they accept as true
Adrienne has an MFA from OCAD University from the Interdisciplinary Masters of Art Media and Design Graduate program (2019), and a BFA from University of Ottawa with a specialization in New Media Art (2014). She is currently enrolled in Concordia University’s Graduate Certificate in Digital Technologies in Design Art Practice where she earned the Dora and Avi Morrow Fellowship for excellent achievement in Visual Arts.
During her Takeover, showcased some of her incredible video work, exploring a mixture of different themes including YouTuber Culture, 3D Body Scanning, 3D Rendering, animation, and modeling.
