Liz Knox

Liz Knox (@lzknx) is an interdisciplinary media and visual artist living and working in Toronto. Her body of work joins the conversation of identity construction, with an interest in objects and how objects relate to personal identity. Her video works often reference and relate to the rich history of video art, recontextualizing themes and tropes used commonly in the 70’s.
Liz Knox Knox graduated from the University of Guelph in 2006 and studied Studio Art at the University of Guelph and completed her graduate studies at Emily Carr University in 2013. Her work has been shown in exhibitions and film festivals across Canada and internationally including the Charles H Scott Gallery (Vancouver), Access Gallery (Vancouver), G Gallery (Toronto), Eyelevel Gallery (Halifax), Lawton Gallery (University of Wisconsin), Vtape (Toronto), and the Justina M. Barnicke Gallery (Toronto).
Liz used her time during the Takeover to showcase some of her past work and some of her work that is currently on display in the exhibition.
