Shelby Gagnon (@shelbeingart) is a multidisciplinary Anishinaabekwe artist from Aroland First Nation, currently living in Thunder Bay.


This spring Shelby graduated with her HBFA from Lakehead university where she focused more on visual arts such as; painting,drawing, sculpture and crafts. She gained a big interest in learning different ways to express her identity and culture as an Indigenous women in Canada.

She is currently working with multiple organizations that focuses on providing art workshops for youth in the community as well as educating people through different forms of art! As a community-engaged multidisciplinary artist, Shelby thinks media arts is a great way to tell stories and capture feelings.
